My Dear Brother,
It is with profound humility and gratude that I address you today,
deeply honored to serve as your Worshipful Master. This privilege is not
one I take lightly, but rather as a sacred trust to guide our lodge with the
same Light that has illuminated Freemasonry for centuries.
As we gather in this January month, a time of new beginnings and
reflection, I am reminded of a significant milestone in our Craft's history
here in New Jersey. On January 30, 1787, The Grand Lodge of New Jersey
was formally established—a beacon of independence and unity born
from the visionary efforts of our early brethren.
In the spirit of that founding, when individual Masons came together to declare and build a sovereign Grand Lodge, let us reflect on the timeless principles that bind us: Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
These virtues are not mere words but living tools, like the working tools
of our degrees, shaping us into better men. In January’s quiet renewal,
much as winter yields to spring, Masonry calls us to shed the rough ashlar
of old habits and polish our characters through study, service, and self-
examination. Consider how the square teaches moral rectitude, the level
